This little fellow has had his fill of cupcakes! He is overwhelmed…This was so much fun…shopping for the decorations, making the vanilla cupcakes, jelly filled with strawberry (blood), and finally, the decorating.

Note: Although we do not celebrate Halloween in Singapore, I thought I wanted to make something just for the fun of it and I actually like Halloween! So I made Chai Latte cupcakes from VCTOW and then made bats and pumpkin stencils for the topping. Happy Halloween to all who celebrates the holiday!

Note: This is the basic chocolate cupcake with fluffy buttercream icing, dyed orange with food coloring for Halloween. The chocolate square is from a Halloween bag of Endangered Species dark chocolate, so all the kiddies can get vegan chocolate this Halloween.

Note: I also decided this year that it looked like great fun to decorate cupcakes. I’d seen so many cute ideas on Allrecipes.com that I wanted to get in on the action.

Thats when I realized that I failed Cupcake Decorating 101. A sure fire way you can TELL That I’m no good at it, is by looking at the cupcake in the middle of the page. I was trying to make a Wolf howling at the Moon, and it turned out to be a Penguin.

Thats right, Evil Halloween Penguins. Beware.

Note: I made some cupcakes for Halloween, but I didn’t make the right kind of frosting to decorate with so they didn’t turn out looking too good, but they did taste great! They were red velvet cake with Bavarian cream filling.

Note: Vanilla cupcakes with crushed Jaffas mixed through, topped with orange frosting with more crushed Jaffas mixed in. These ones are topped off wtih pumpkin sugar decorations!
