Champagne Cupcakes

By on Friday, December 31st, 2010

What do we all toast with at Midnight on New Years eve? CHAMPAGNE! Well this year we should all toast with Champagne in cupcake form instead in liquid form. Maybe we could start a new trend.

Here is a great recipe for Champagne Cupcakes with Sweet Champagne Butter-cream Frosting from Gimme Some Oven!

Happy New Year everyone!

Cupcake Air Freshener

By on Friday, December 31st, 2010

I’m not really sure I want my car to smell like cupcakes. I think I have enough problems. But to each his or her own, I guess. There are probably worse things for a car to smell like — soccer cleats comes to mind.

I found this cute rearview mirror jewelry at Accoutrements.

Happy New Year

By on Friday, December 31st, 2010

A massive happy new year to you all!  Have a fantastic time, and catch you in 2011 for more cupcakes!

These wonderful new years cupcakes are some of the best that I have seen, I love all the bright colors that Anita Jamal has used!

After all my Christmas baking I’m giving cupcakes a miss over New Years, instead I am happy to let someone else do the cooking and just kick my heels up!

The Perfect Laptop Cushion

By on Thursday, December 30th, 2010

If you have an old laptop, you can probably really appreciate this laptop cushion created  by Rosangela Ferreira.  On many occasion I had to grab a pillow or towel to stick between my knees and the laptop so I wasn’t scolded.  Now I have a new computer which doesn’t heat up, it poses a different problem.  It is so small and dainty that when sitting on my knees it is just too far away.  This cushion would be perfect!

Unfortunately for us, Rosangela is located in Brazil, where she sells her wares online.  You can check them out here.

Bath and Body Works Cupcake Pocketbac

By on Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

For Christmas I received Bath and Body Work’s Cupcake Pocketbac in two different scents.  The antibacterial hand sanitizer comes in five cupcake related flavors including red velvet, coconut, lemon glaze, blue chiffon, and strawberry.  While these are not available on the Bath and Body Work’s website, they can be purchased from amazon for as little as $0.55.

Cupcakes for your face?

By on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

According to the Lush website, Chocolate can be good for your skin… here’s what they say!

When is chocolate good for your skin? When it’s in a cleansing Cupcake! Our chocolate-scented, chocolate-coloured cocoa powder and cocoa butter mask is ever so good for preventing (and soothing) breakouts and removing excess oils. With anti-microbial, deep cleansing Rhassoul mud and stimulating peppermint and spearmint oils, Cupcake works even better than it smells. You may be tempted to taste it, but that would be a waste of a superb, fresh face treatment. Instead, focus on its ability to transform sluggish, oily skin into a clean, bright new face. Sandalwood oil and linseed infusion are also beautifully softening so men can use this to soften their stubble before shaving too. We all agree that Mr Lush does make exceedingly good masks.

I wish I knew about this before Christmas!!

My New Years Resolution is to start being on time for things. The first step might be having at least one clock in my house that works. So, I began the search for a cupcake clock and I cannot believe how many choices there are out there! Here are some of my favorites.

This little darling measure 6.6″ x 8″ and costs $22. It is available from Read the rest of this entry »
