A few months ago we did a fun giveaway with CSN Stores and since then they have become one of my favorite spots to find cupcake items. Here’s some special picks I wanted to share with you today:

Cupcake Crib Bedding $127.27

Cupcake Wall Clock $18.18
Cupcake Baby Blanket $24.54
All of these items would look so precious together in a nursery but I think that clock would end up in my room!

It’s cold and flu season again and it seems that everyone I know (including me) is sick. In hopes of making myself feel better, I went searching on Etsy.com to find some items to lift my spirits and help my cold at the same time.
Maybe a long bath might to the trick…

Grape Cupcake Bath Bomb $4.50
Or maybe a heat wrap…

Microwavable Neck Wrap $9.95
Or a sweet get well card…

Set of 8 Cards $20
Or perhaps a tissue box cover…

Tissue Box Cover $11.50
I feel better already, don’t you?
Visit stayhomecupcake’s Etsy site too.

This week’s giveaway comes to us from new Etsy seller OnceUponAPedestal. In her shop you will find lovely dessert stands and pedestals. OnceUponAPedestal gathers new and used plates in all shapes, colors and sizes and matches them with unique bases of different heights to create beautiful trays. These are great for displaying your deliciously sweet treats. I have thoroughly searched Etsy and have found no one else that makes these unique cupcake pedestals.

I am so happy to own this well-made and whimsical cupcake pedestal. It holds 1-3 regular size cupcakes and is the perfect centerpiece for my cupcake displays. The glass base is just as pretty and perfect. This stand is now my favorite item in my cupcake collection!
This week OnceUponAPedestal is giving away this wonderful cupcake pedestal:

Just go toOnceUponAPedestal’s Etsy shop and look at all her amazing creations. Then come back to ATC and click on the comment area below. Please tell us what item is your favorite AND what kind of pedestal you think she should create next. This contest ends on Sunday, February 14th.
Special thanks toOnceUponAPedestal for sponsoring this week’s giveaway!

As many of you know, cupcake hunting is a fun passion for me. More than that, most of my friends have turned into cupcake hunters too! Every week they are calling and emailing me to tell me about some wonderful little treasures they have discovered. Many times I have seen (or bought!) the items already but not always. Thank you my wonderful friends! This week one of my best gal pals sent me these photos of cupcake finds at Ben Franklin Crafts:

I checked Ben Frankin’s website and unfortunitely these items are not sold online.

My family and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. We saw Mickey and Minnie and all the Princesses and yet I still found myself looking for cupcakes. Even better, my family members were looking too! Here’s what we found!
At Downtown Disney I found this lovely sight in Goofy’s Candy Kitchen:

I chose the chocolate cupcake with the vanilla frosting. I loved the Mickey sprinkles but the cupcake frosting was overly sugary and the cake a bit dry. These cupcakes were also spotted at Epcot in a Germany treat shop.
Also at Downtown Disney in the Disney Christmas Store, this little Tinkerbell ornament caught my niece’s eye:
I also spotted Minnie’s Cupcake Mix at several stores in Downtown Disney and Magic Kingdom.

My husband found some delicious cupcakes at the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom. My daughter picked out this pretty one with blue frosting and it was surprising delicious. Just the right blend of buttery cake and sugary frosting.

Let us know if you have more Disney cupcake spottings to pass on!

Our first giveaway of 2010 comes to us from a sweet site called Sweet Bling. They specialize in exquisite cupcake charms and shirts. I proudly own this Sweet Bling t-shirt:

The shirt is very comfortable and allows me to show my love for cupcakes without looking like a kid! The best part are the little Swarovski crystals used as embellishments on the frosting. I have worn it many times and have received many compliments.
Take a look at a few other fabulous items found at Sweet Bling:

Sweet Bling is offering a 15% discount on all purchases made by All Things Cupcake fans this week! Just type “ATC” in the coupon code area upon checkout.
In addition, Sweet Bling is giving away one black “One Haute Cupcake” shirt to a lucky reader. To enter this giveaway, go to www.sweetbling.com and look around at their items. Then come back to ATC and tell us in the comment area below what your favorite cupcake charm AND favorite shirt design was. One winner will be chosen on Monday, February 25th. Thanks again to Sweet Bling for sponsoring this sweet giveaway!

Taste of Home recently posted this yummy looking Chocolate Cookie Cake recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 package (18-1/4 ounces) white cake mix
- 16 cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, coarsely crushed
- 1 package (3 ounces) Kraft Philadelphia® – Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
- Additional cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
Directions
- Prepare cake batter according to package directions; stir in crushed cookies. Spoon into a greased and floured 10-in. fluted tube pan.
- Bake at 350° for 33-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Beat in cream until mixture begins to thicken. Gradually add confectioners’ sugar; beat until stiff peaks form. Frost cake. Garnish with additional cookies. Refrigerate leftovers. Yield: 12 servings.
Most cake recipes can be easily modified to make cupcakes and Sassybellewares recently blogged about how she did this. She called them Crazy Good Cupcakes so they are definitely worth a try!

I love getting catalogs in the mail and looking through all the pages just hoping to see something wonderful (and cupcake!) I recently got my Pottery Barn Kids catalog and found this lovely children’s quilted bedding.

The set is called Darcie Quilted Bedding and it comes in lavender or pink. So adorable!

I find that this time of year is particularly hard for cupcake hunters like me. It seems that many stores use cupcakes in the Valentine’s decorations so now they are popping up everywhere just screaming for me to take them home! I have to use extreme self-restraint because they are all so cute!
Here’s what I found at Target:

Oven Mitt and Pot Holder Set and Jar
Target also had kids utensils, divided trays and plates with cupcakes on them.
And Kohl’s had even more sweet items:

My Kohl’s store also had cupcake welcome signs, table runners, picture frames, large bowls, hand towels, cookie jars, adult aprons, kid aprons and jar candles. They are all between 30%-50% off their price this week. I must resist!

Over the past few years, I have been on a cupcake collecting mission. I love cupcake clothes, books, stickers, bags; pretty much anything that has a cupcake on it begs to be in my collection. My friends and family have graciously helped me by giving me numerous treasures or calling me to tell me where they have seen cupcake items. I also loved making my own cupcake crafts and buying other handmade cupcake items from Etsy.
Recently my sister-in-law asked to borrow some of my cupcake collection to display in her library’s children’s section. Here’s the display:

She added some great literature to the display to encourage others to read about cupcakes. She is helping to build the next generation of cupcake lovers! So if you live in New Jersey, stop by the Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan and say hello to all my cupcake stuff and my sis-in-law. My collection will be there through the end of January. I am happy to share my cupcake collection with others but boy, do I miss them!

For our last giveaway of 2009, I wanted to make it a really special one. I met this wonderful Etsy artisan a few months back and now sassybellewares is one of my favorites. I believe she truly gets us cupcake crazy people here on ATC. Check out this cute jewelry from her shop.

I own one of Sassybellewares pendants and love that not only can you wear it as a necklace, but you can take it off the chain and use it as a pin. So clever! This week sassybellewares is giving away one of her “I Speak Cupcake” items. The winner will get to pick one of the items below and choose if they want it as a bracelet or necklace/pin.

To enter this giveaway, go to Sassy’s two Etsy shops and come back to tell us what other item(s) was your favorite in the comment area below.
