If you are looking for a last minute Halloween cupcake costume be sure to check out Kohl’s. They have a women’s Hostess Cupcake Costume on sale for $29.69! Kohl’s also has two dog costumes! The cupcake girl costume shown below on the left is modeled after Katy Perry and costs $29.69. The second dog costume is a more basic cupcake costume and it costs $25.19.
Do you need to make cupcakes and you need to make them right now? I have never seen this before, but here is the quickest way to make your own cupcakes: Betty Crocker’s Shake-n-Pour Cupcake mix. All you have to do is add water, and according to this review, it’s not half-bad. I say it’s definitely worth a try if you are in a bind!
Here on the east coast of the US we are hunkering down and riding through hurricane Sandy. With 50+ mile an hour winds and over a half a foot rain, it is a good day to stay indoors. So while we are stuck inside, how about making some sweet cupcakes! These cupcakes were from Coastal Cupcakes in North Carolina during hurricane Irene but I am sure with some colored fondant, you could make them as well. I love the pop of color in the red cylone and the two red hurricane warning flags. Hopefully my power will stay on long enough to make these today. Stay safe cupcake fans!

Here is yet another take on the Oreo-cupcake combo. And I bet this is one rich combination!
Visit Things that Make You Say Mmm for recipe and instructions. Then let us know how they taste!
I saw these “Real Men Eat Cupcakes” shirts on pinterest and I have to admit I love them! I don’t know of any guys that would wear this shirt but considering how popular cupcake themed clothing lines like Johnny Cupcakes are with males I think there are some guys out there that would wear this shirt. The shirt is available from Vanilla Bake Shop’s website in heather grey or white for $24.00.
Here are my favorite Halloween cupcake printable toppers that I have found this year. The toppers shown above are from Celebrations at Home who made the festive polkadot toppers. Ekaterina Trukhan created cute illustrated toppers. Giggles & Grace Designs created the more grown up looking toppers. Love Party Printables designed these “Boo” costume cupcake toppers. The always creative Sweetopia came up with the Happy Howl-oween dog cupcake toppers.
Check out these eerily beautiful black velvet rose cupcakes from Diary of a Mad Hausfrau. Visit her blog to also see the severed tongue truffles. ewww…
The countdown is definitely here. If you haven’t figured out what kind of cupcakes you are taking to the Halloween party, the clock is ticking. If your preference is spooky rather than silly, then here are some creepy cupcakes for you.
I personally like the Witch’s Cauldron cupcakes (hover your mouse over the picture and a box will pop up giving you tips for making these). Use chunks of orange gelatin for the inside of the cauldron, candy bones and skulls, and licorice pieces for the handle and the spoon.
Looking for a cool old school way to display your cupcakes? Check out this unique 3 tier record stand being sold on Ebay this week. Yes, it is a bit pricey at around $50 with shipping to the US. But My_E_Room is also selling just the cake stand handle and rods as well for only about $12. So if you have some old records laying around, you can make your own stand!
This made me laugh out loud. These parrots were created by Krazy Edible Creations of Muskegon, Michigan. They are a brand new mother and daughter cupcake team. Look for a website soon!
I love these skeleton cupcakes from MyRecipes.com. The little hat wearing skeletons made from frosting, m&m’s, mini jelly beans, mini cupcakes, and chocolate wafers! These look like the perfect Halloween cupcake recipe to make with little kids!
I am always on the lookout for good gift ideas for my friends and family. I came across this Coffee, Cupcakes, Wine t-shirt and know it would be perfect for some of my friends that love all three! This shirt sounds like the perfect foods to enjoy on a lazy sunday! The shirt costs $30.99 from Skreened and is available in several different colors.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, I especially love seeing all the different, creative cupcakes people come up with. My favorite Halloween cupcakes this year are the Kawaii Halloween cupcake toppers by Next to Nicx. Instead of going with the traditional scary halloween monsters and ghoul, she chose to create really adorable little monsters, bats, and ghosts! The Next to Nicx website features detailed picture instructions and the downloadable template.
Owl cupcakes are always a good option this time of year. This recipe suggests using store-bought chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and using oreos and m&ms for the eyes and beak. I don’t think it gets much easier than this, and your cupcakes are sure to be a hoot with all your friends.
Today is the last day of the Raleigh, North Carolina State Fair. My parents went to the fair earlier in the week and brought back some amazing cupcakes! Neomonde, a local Lebanese and Mediterranean Cafe and Grocery, had a booth at the fair where they were selling cupcakes. I had no idea that Neomonde which normally only sells baklava in the cafe, also makes cupcakes to sell to restaurants and hotels! My parents bought two festive flavors, sweet potato and pumpkin (shown to the left), both of which were delicious!
The second cupcakes my parents bought were from BlueBird Cupcakes located in Raleigh, North Carolina. These cupcakes were also new to me and we also delightful! My parents picked an apple caramel cinnamon, a s’more, and a crumb coffee cake cupcake. Each cupcake, shown to the left, was better than the next! BlueBird Cupcakes doesn’t have a store front but they do deliver for free to the Triangle area!
Do you send out Halloween cards? I send Halloween cards to a few of my friends and family members that live far away. I already have my cards picked out for this year but I’m bookmarking this set of 12 Halloween cupcake cards for next year. The set from Milk Box Prints costs $22.00 and features two designs, a witch and a spider cupcake.
These made me laugh out loud. Who wouldn’t spend big bucks on a Coach cupcake? These cupcakes are courtesy of Lanett Cakes of Baton Rouge. Lanett is one talented lady!
Now here’s an idea: a cupcake dive! Do you live near the western shore of Michigan? Do you plan on getting married soon? Would you like to dive into a table full of delicious cupcakes? If you just said yes three times, you’re in luck.
Little River Casino of Manistee, Michigan is holding a “cupcake dive” this Sunday, October 21st at their bridal show.
Ten contestants will win a chance to dive into a table of cupcakes, looking for a diamond engagement ring.
Megan’s Cupcakes of Cadillac will supply 250 cupcakes for the event.
Good luck to all the contestants. May you not be distracted by a red velvet and continue on the diamond hunt!
So, what are you doing with your nails this Halloween? Here’s one way to get in the spirit! This nail art is courtesy of the cleverly-named Inspirationail.
So I’m a little behind of the latest bracelet trend. I had no idea Alex and Ani charm bangles were popular until one arrived in my mailbox. I was sent a little care pacakge that included the Alex and Ani cupcake bangle. I really like the bracelet because it’s simple, although from what I understand you’re supposed to layer the bracelets, each of which have different charms. The cupcake bangle is available for $28.00 in gold or silver from the company website which has tons of different charms available including some colleges which is a fun christmas or December graduation gift idea!
Over the past few weeks I have shared with you some of my favorite cupcake jewelry finds. I’ve shared a cool bracelet and a sweet pendant and this week I am moving onto rings! It was way to tough to just pick one so here are two fabulous finds. This unique silver & brass ring is from Etsy seller Angela Gomez Jewelry and is a great price at $28. I am also loving this pretty and yes a bit kitschy cupcake ring from Kelsea Echo Studios. It is a steal at $7.50! And as icing on the cake (pun intended) they are donating 100% of their revenue to the American Heart Association until October 19th. Two very sweet rings!
What a terrific use of pretzels! These skeletons aren’t so scary! These Halloween delights are courtesy of Buttercream Baroness.
