This clear graphic cupcake cuff bracelet costs only $25.00 from BuyMyCrap’s etsy page. The banner surrounding the cupcake reads “Sweet Stuff.” I feel like with the stars and skulls it looks kind of punk but is still girly and sweet at the same time!

I love this super easy DIY cupcake topper idea. One Charming Party call’s them Jackson Pollock cupcake toppers since they resemble the abstract art created by Pollock. All you need to create these simple decorations are candy melts, ziplock or disposable pasty bags, and wax paper. Then follow the three steps below to create your own unique toppers.

1. Melt candy melts in a glass bowl in the microwave. Spoon the melted candy melts into disposable frosting bags.
2. Cut the tip of the bag a tiny bit to allow the melted candy melts to get out.
3. Make random paint splatters onto wax paper. Let them cool. Place on top of your cupcakes.

This AUD$8.95 notebook has so many elements that I love. It is pink with a bunting banner across the top, and a cupcake that’s almost as big as the bird that’s looking at it on a pocket on the front cover.

Additionally, I like that there are other items that match this notebook. I personally like the pencil case that costs AUD$16.95 and is in the same color pink. There are additional items on the Kikki.K website that correlate with these two items.

Bird Craft: Party Supplies and Printable Fun! offers a tutorial on how to make these easy paper cupcake stands. All you need to do is download the template from her website and follow these three easy steps:
1. Print your template onto patterned cardstock or print onto standard A4 paper and transfer it to a material of your choice later – You can use MDF, cardboard, polystyrene sheets, coloured cardstock etc…
2. Then cut the parts and slot the feet together, fixing with a dot of hot glue if necessary. Its quite self-explanatory when you look at the pictures…
3. Add some more hot glue onto the feet and place the stand top on, pressing firmly.
Not only do I love how easy these are to make but I like that you can customize them to suite your needs. If you have a simple stand you can make your cupcake decorations more involved. If your stand has a busy pattern then you can add a cupcake with minimal decorations. Since the holiday party season has begun you could easily make the stands to match the holiday you are celebrating!

When I was growing up I always loved when we had make-your-own ice cream sundaes at school. So naturally I loved the idea of a DIY Cupcake Topping Bar. This Build It cupcake bar was featured on Green Wedding Shoes and is based on a fall theme. I really love the idea of a topping bar because it allows guests to create their own unique cupcake!
For this cupcake bar, the cupcakes were frosted with a ring so that the toppings, which included syrups in vintage syrup dispensers, could be added to the whole in the middle. I especially liked the idea of using mini hallowed out pumpkins to serve as “bowls” for a toppings, such as sprinkles. The possibilities of toppings for cupcakes seem endless which means you could get really creative with what you put out for guest to top their cupcakes with.

Indie Fixx is one of my favorite blogs, I can always count on it to find great crafts, style ideas, and recipes! Just in time for Thanksgiving, I noticed this unique cupcake recipe for squash and chocolate swirled cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting and candied pecans. These cupcakes, as the author explains, will make a nice alternative to the traditional holiday dessert, pecan pie. The recipe for the cupcakes is included below but for the toppings be sure to check out the original post on Indie Fixx!

Squash and Chocolate Swirled Cupcakes with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting & Candied Pecans
Note: Most any roasted pureed winter squash would be wonderful. You could, of course, used canned pumpkin but your homegrown buttercup, butternut, or other winter squash would be just as lovely. Read the rest of this entry »

Always in search of new cupcake wrappers I was excited to come across The Cupcake Wrapper Co. This company offers wrappers with varying designs in yellow, pink, green, blue, and red hues. Each packet includes 12 wrappers for $14.95. To top it off, the site offers a few additional cupcake decorating items, such as cupcake topper balloons.

I really like the red circus wrappers and the bunny tree wrapper. I personally like decorative wrappers because it means your frosting job can be more simple.
