Everyday I go onto Etsy and see what new cupcake items have been listed. Well today I decided to look and see what some of the most expesive, yet amazing, items would be. If I had a million dollars I think I’d have to have these in every room of my house…

Since it is already the middle of September, that means it is apple season. I think the perfect way to acknowledge that fall is rapidly approaching is to bake apple cupcakes.
This delicious looking recipe is courtesy of Food Network. Calling for only one apple, the apple flavor comes from an additional ingredient needed, apple butter, which is piped into the center. Apple butter does not contain any dairy, the name comes from the consistency since it is so think and spreadable. It can easily be made at home or when short on time, it can be bought from most grocery stores. The cupcakes are finished with a cream cheese frosting and in the picture they are garnished with an apple sliver.
2) A simple frosting recipe (better to color you with my dear) Buttercream Frosting
3) Tools to frost with Cupcake Decorating Kit ( this includes the disposable bags and tips to decorate, use the 1M tip to get the swirly ice cream effect) this includes a great tutorial as well!
4) This is how you make a rainbow of colors Icing Color Set (you can also use just plain old food coloring if you don’t want to spend that much, ya just got to get creative with the colors)
Bake the cake, prepare the frosting, cool the cake, fill the bags, frost & sprinkle away!
Let me know how they turn out!
Psst … If you dont want to spend all the money on the expensive stuff you can just with all the boxed goodies (boxed cake, canned frsoting, etc. [it will just be our little secret] )
These Vanilla Cupcakes with Raspberry Jam look perfect to sink your teeth into as you settle in for an episode with your favorite vampires. And what might be the best part, aside from actually getting to eat the cupcakes is that it is a fairly simple and straight forward recipe without the fuss of fancy decorating.
I saw this at the store today and needed to share it with all our cupake tattooed readers. Now you can give your Barbie a cupcake tattoo too! Available at ToysRUs and Walmart. It is a bit hard to see but she comes with a cupake shirt and tattoo for you to apply.
Hello fellow cupcake lovers! I am a new contributor to ATC but have been a follower for quite a while. I have a great love for cupcakes but in particular, handmade cupcake crafts. So, all my posts will be centered around cupcake crafts found on my second favorite site, Etsy. (ATC is still # 1!)
Well, school has started this week in my town so for my first post I would like to share with you some cupcake things your kids might need when going back to school this year.
They might actually look forward to doing their homework if they can use this purple cupcake mini pen. Mandibeads uses precision Japanese Delica beads to breathe life into each original design.
What better place to put your pen than this Cupcake Queen Pencil Pouch by Vegancraftastic. The outer fabric is an adorable pink print covered in cherries and cupcakes while the bag is fully lined with a fun pink print. Both 100% cotton.
And artisan Honeyboo understands that many kids need schedules to keep themselves organized but why not make it fun too? With the Cupcake Printable Timetable they will enjoy the organization.

So I know am renting a place with a full kitchen at my disposal! Oh Full Kitchen, Let me count the ways …
So with this past weekend being my 1st full weekend in my new place I decided to give my kitchen a test run. I tested it with Caramel Apple cupcakes (or i tried).Apple cupcakes with caramel frosting.
I found the apple cupcake recipe in one of my cupcake books and the frosting recipe from an old cookbook.
Here is a lil’ photo show of my baking adventure!!
Getting Started ...
Getting Ready to Go In ...
Baking ...
Mhhh, Didn't Really Turn Out Like I Had Hoped ...
So I Improvised!
Okay … so they didn’t rise as I would have hoped so they turned out more like muffins than cupcakes. I cut off the extra liners to make mini cakes . The frosting wasn’t working at all either, so I had to think quick and I added confectioners sugar to make it all better, it was really sweet but good. I was told by everyone who munched on them that they fantabulously yummy!
Even though they weren’t as I hoped they would be, taste buds were titillated by all that enjoyed!
PS: I then found another recipe for caramel apple cupcakes, who would have thunk it! I will try that one next time! :-)

My coworker is getting married next month and since I’m making the cupcakes she shared with me the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings.
wedding cupcake ideas
The issue features an article titled: Let Them Eat Cupcakes, proving even Martha knows cupcakes are taking over. There is an eight page spread containing full page pictures of creative cupcakes such as the Rose and Ginger Cupcakes with Sugared Rose Petals.
There is also what could be considered the cupcake version of strawberry shortcake dessert. The cupcake has a slight twist from the original summer dessert in that it consists of a strawberry rhubarb compote.
These cupcakes have been deemed wedding appropriate. But as with all cupcakes, they are suitable for any occasion. On the Martha Stewart website, there are recipes to all the cupcakes in the article in addition ideas for displaying the latest wedding trend.

Joining a growing list of metropolitan cities served by the growing cupcake truck trend is Philadelphia. Buttercream was started by Kate Carrara who turned a career in law into a career in sweets.

I and many others await the countdown to midnight in eager anticipation of the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I purchased my tickets already for the special midnight showing, and I look forward to bringing my camera and catching some true fans dressed up for opening night. In the mean time, I found some Harry Potter inspired cupcakes to pass the time.
One of our dear readers shared with us her cupcake surprise.
Here is a pic of the cupcakes I made for my husband who works for the geek squad. He had no idea that I had even made him anything, and was surprised when he saw this. The picture has been passed around all of the corporate office and their forums . It’s the first time I have ever used fondant, and think I am addicted!
Fourth of July is a day where everybody can come together and celebrate our country together. Especially in such an awful year financially for the country and personally for so many people, it is good to remember the roots and celebrate the strength of our nation, and look forward to change in the future.
I was inspired by our president’s speech calling for more people to choose public service as an occupation and serve the country. I was also inspired by the creativity of July 4th cupcakes.

This popcorn cupcake idea comes from Cary Chaote at the Examiner. It is an easy to execute idea with large visual impact with no special necessities other than the retro popcorn bags for 29 cents each at century novelty.
For you fashion fans out there. These fashion label cupcakes were shot by Swedish photographer Therese Aldgard and styled by Lisa Edsalv. Quite obviously, the inspirations were Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, and Betsey Johnson. I wonder if they taste as good as they look.

We received this photo and email from ATC Reader Tristine…
Hey ATC! I just got back from Disney World where I had seen Rice Krispy Treat cupcakes. It is similar to this photo but Disney had piped chocolate as the icing and just used the Rice Krispies Treat as the cake part. I’m bummed I didn’t snap a photo while I was there. They were so cute!
