Lately it seems like every time I go into World Market they have a new cupcake item! If you love cupcakes and have a store near you I strongly suggest you stop in to see all of their awesome cupcake items and easter decor. Yesterday I noticed these great cupcake sign that reads “Life is Sweet” and costs $79.99.
Today I ran into Walmart to pick up a few groceries and I noticed a display for a new Duncan Hines product, Frosting Creations. Frosting Creations are flavor packets that you stir into frosting to create new flavors. The steps are really easy, start with the frosting starter and choose one of the 12 available flavor options. Make a hole in the frosting center, add the entire flavor packet, and stir until well combined. The flavor options include bubble gum, cotton candy, chocolate marshmallow, cherry vanilla, cinnamon role, white chocolate raspberry, and more! At my local Walmart the flavor packets were $0.94 each. Romp is a great website for children’s toys, accessories, and room decor. They have a set of four plush cupcakes for $36.00 that are prefect for toy kitchens. There is also an it’s a snap headband that comes with two snaps, a cupcake and a puppy for $20.00.

The name of these cupcakes is so long but they sound so delicious and like something I would make and love! Joy the Baker made these Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Toasted Marshmallow cupcakes. There’s so many different components to these cupcakes but each part seems to compliment the others. Chocolate and peanut butter are one of my favorite combinations and I love the thought of cookie dough inside a cupcake. After majoring in nutiriton in college I am well aware of the food safety issues related to eating raw cookie dough but who doesn’t love cookie dough? Top the cupcakes off with a toasted marshmallow meringue and you have one deliciously rich cupcake combination!
I have always been a fan of themed parties. I think it makes for easier party planning and I like it when things are coordinated! The Sweetest Occasion blogged about Amory a four year old’s cupcake themed birthday party. The whole party is dedicated to cupcake decorating, both real cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles and paper craft cupcakes. Even the party favors were cupcake props! The pictures of the party make it look like a fun birthday for any age!
Have you seen these Yummy plush cupcakes? I have no idea what I would do with a 15 inch plush cupcake that costs $75.00 but the smiling face makes me want one! There are also mini 4.5 inch plush cupcakes that come in three different colors and are much more affordable at only $15.95 but the larger cupcake is much more fun!
My local WalMart already has the Easter merchandise out. I noticed this box of plastic cupcake egg hunt candy filled “eggs” in the seasonal section. The box includes 28 cupcakes instead of the traditional eggs filled with lemon heads and jellybeans for $5.48.

The From Scratch: A Business story details the sister’s journey from using an old pizza oven and two kitchen aid mixers in their original Calgary, Canada location through their expansion to seven storefront locations.
ATC was sent a copy of the 60-page story to review. I thought the tale of the two sisters business adventure was well written. As I read about their shop and cupcakes I could picture what the inside of the store looked like and see them inside their kitchen baking cupcakes. I love that Crave has stuck with their philosophy of baking from scratch. The story is not just for the cupcake lover or the business entrepreneur; it’s able to appeal to multiple audiences, as it is also a story about family and following a dream when others doubt you. Are you a fan of cupcakes in a jar? I’m still undecided about the cupcake trend mostly because I love the look of a perfectly frosted cupcake. I also wonder what makes it a cupcake in a jar and not just a cake in a jar. I do, however, like this recipe from Family Kitchen for Cupcake Crumble in a Jar since the recipe uses left over cupcakes that other wise would most likely go to waste. The cupcake crumble reminds me of a parfait or trifle based on the layering technique. There are lots of options for ingredients beyond the cake and frosting so you can be as creative as you want when making your own cupcake crumble.
I love this changing face cupcake stamp set from Memi The Rainbow. The Parisian Etsy shop offers the set of 9 stamps for $35.00 that form different faced cupcakes. You can make your cupcake laugh, smile, wink or sleep then add star or circle sprinkles to make a unique cupcake.
Now that Valentine’s Day has past the stores have all their St. Patrick’s Day merchandise on display. I saw this cute cupcake baby onesie at my local TJMaxx. A baby would look very festive in the onesie, tutu, and headband, if you can get the baby to keep the headband on!
Pantone paint chips are really popular right now, remember the cupcake yellow mug? My sister loves paint chips and I had thought about making her paint chip cupcakes, thinking my idea was original but it turns out Pantone cupcakes have already been made! I found Bocaditos y Colores (Erika) flickr page which features her version of Pantone cupcakes.
World Market is one of my favorite stores to just wander around in. Over the summer I found the cute cupcake take out bags and on a recent visit to my local store I noticed a red velvet milk chocolate bar. The chocolate bar is only $1.99 and sounds like the perfect solution to cure a cupcake craving when cupcakes are not available. My store also had the wine charms shown below. I did not see them on World Market’s website but they are worth a trip to the store for if there’s a birthday coming up!

This zig zag bowl from Lekker Home is so fun! I love the fact that it looks like a cupcake base! Since it costs $18.00 I think it would make a great gift for a friend or for myself!
I remember the Legos I grew up with were the basic primary colors and we mostly built towers and cars. The Legos I had definitely were not as exciting as this creative cakes set that is available for $24.99. Last week I ran into my local Kohl’s and was excited to see all of the cupcake items they were offering for valentines day. You could easily decorate your whole kitchen in red, pink, hearts, and cupcakes! These items would also make great gifts for your special valentine. For the kitchen there are cupcake placemats, aprons, kitchen towels and a vinyl tablecloth. The table wouldn’t be complete without the 3 stacking bowls, cupcake shaped mug and spoon, and the serving platter. You are also going to want the cupcake hand towel and my Kohl’s had a cute cupcake sign that isn’t on the website. These cupcake items are on sale and affordable so be sure to stop by your local Kohls since Valentine’s Day is only two weeks away!

Sometimes I buy items to give as gifts pretty far in advance. While it’s great being prepared it can be hard to keep things a secret. I bought this cupcake rug from Skymall in the fall and saved it to give as a gift this month. I know the recipient reads ATC on a regular basis so I had to resist writing about the rug until after the gift was given. The rug was $29.95, measures 30″L x 28”H, and actually looks really nice. Over the weekend I spent some time browsing around Society6 checking out some of the different artwork the site has to offer. I loved some of the fun cupcake prints that are available! Since it’s been raining the past few days in North Carolina the Pick Me Up On A Rainy Day print seems perfect. I also really like the When I Grow Up print, I would love being a cupcake sprinkler too! The Operation Cupcake Printwas another one that I liked. I love that the cupcakes were brave enough to jump out of the plane!
