Cupcake Art

Baked by Melissa, a New York City bakery specializing in a line of mini-cupcakes, has a fun, new feature on their website where you can create your own edible cupcake art.  Begin by choosing the number of mini-cupcakes you want (anywhere from 100- 2,500, arranged in a rectangle).  Then select from 18 different cupcake flavors (s’mores, cookies and cream, peanut butter and jelly, red vanilla and pink vanilla are some of the options) to create your own colorful design.

One design in the gallery is an American flag using red vanilla, white vanilla and blue vanilla cupcakes to form the stars and stripes.

You can create almost anything you want.  I especially loved the one used for a proposal.  “Marry Me” was spelled out with chocolate cupcakes, which was surrounded by a pink heart made of pink vanilla cupcakes and a backdrop of white vanilla cupcakes.  After you finish your artwork, you can share it with your friends on Facebook OR you can even place an order so that you can taste it, because Baked by Melissa is now delivering nationwide!
