Adelle sent us these pictures from the recent art exhibition they had at the school she is a teacher at. It was cupcake themed! The first picture is a giant cupcake Adelle made out of paper mache. The second picture is of some real cupcakes made by the food technology staff, which were eaten on opening night.

Jennifer of Knoxville TN sent us these sweet pictures of her new puppy. She is a Cocker Spaniel and is 6 1/2 weeks old. Her name is CUPCAKE of course:)

AWWWW! How cute is she?

Laura, an ATC Reader, went to the Los Angeles County Fair this year and was pleasantly surprised to see this new and HUGE cupcake kiosk there!  They also had smaller ones located throughout the fair (our fair is ridiculously enormous and fantastic!!).  The booth was absolutely adorable decorated in pink and black…kind of a Frenchy look.  They offered muffin-sized cupcakes for $4.25 and mini-sized ones for $2 in vanilla, chocolate or red velvet and then your choice of sprinkles. Besides their outrageously priced cupcakes they had several cute t-shirts available too.

You are invited to a party… A Cupcake Party!

Ashleigh loves cupcakes and did her son Caden’s birthday party with the cupcake theme. From cupcake invitations, to a giant cupcake cake. Even the cheese slices were shaped like little cupcakes!

Ashleigh made this large cupcake shaped cake from scratch! She bought a big cupcake cake pan. The bottom was on one side, and the top part on the other side of the pan. It is two pieces put together. She put a round cardboard between them to make it easier to slice.

iPhone Design Wins at the Cupcake Decorating Championships

Congrats to Danielle Bilton, winner of last week’s NYC Cupcake Decorating Championships hosted by Bre Pettis, co-creator of Ignite. Danielle’s iPhone-app cupcakes were made with chocolate cake and gray butter cream, then topped with fondant details.

About the winner: She’s a pastry chef and food stylist who teaches cooking. Her blog documents her beautiful, sweet creations, complete with recipes and pictures.
