I decided at midnight Thursday May 7th to bake cupcakes for my son’s kindergarten class.  Here’s a look at what happens when you do just that.

I started with an upbeat attitude.  Made some coffee and I was on my way.  Interesting concept midnight = baking cupcakes!  Good Stuff!

I had mental blocks when it came to what I was going to use for the topping.  Publix was closed and I was in no mood to go out whether the stores were open or not.  So I went to the cabinets and Pink and Red toppings is was.  The other choices were butterfly’s, flowers, or hot pink.  Regardless, I finished and DRUM ROLL, Please: Here are the results ~ (Pictured above)

Cupcake Skirt and Appliqued Shirt $45.00

This is the perfect outfit for your little girl’s birthday party! The skirt is two layers, the bottom layer is white lining with a hot pink with white pin dots ruffle, the top layer is a ruffled cupcake print, with a hot pink with white pin dots for the waist band. Skirt has an elastic Waist for easy on and off and to keep it on your little one so it’s not falling down.

Shirt can be almost anything you want, colored or just white, a t-shirt or onesie. Onesie may not have ruffled trim as the one pictured. Applique is NOT done using an embroidery machine, it is sewed on. It is a two layered applique, with hot pink with white pin dots on the underneath layer and cupcakes on the outer layer. It can be any letter you choose, lowercase or uppercase.

Finally 209 Cupcake Painting by kmiller2

This painting is done on 5 x 7 panels with oil paint. The “icing” texture was made with acrylic medium the artist piped through a pastry bag. The sprinkles were made using a small tip on a piping bag; the rose was made on a flower nail. Once the acrylic medium dried the artist was then able to paint over it with oil paint to give them color.

These “cupcakes” are available to purchase. The artist is also taking on any “special order” cupcake painting requests.
