I don’t know about you but I never seem to buy the right number of cupcake liners for when I’m baking. I always end up with too many. It’s like the hot dog and bun conundrum where liners aren’t sold in the same units as the number of cupcakes people generally bake them. With all the different patterns available to customize your cupcakes for holidays or events, it’s easy for the paper or foil liners to accumulate in the cabinet. I love walking through the stores this time of year because so many stores pair cupcakes and hearts in their Valentine’s decor items. So far I have spotted cuppies in the Valentine’s sections at Walmart, Target, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Christmas Tree Shop and Kohl’s.  So a big thank you to all the stores who join cupcakes and hearts this holiday season.  You make it so much more special for the cupcake obsessed.  All Things Cupcake appreciates you!

Christmas might be over, but you don’t have to take down your tree until after the New Year, so it’s not too late to indulge in some of these tasty treats!  (Or, you could just file away this idea for next year!)  Check out The Stir’s recipe.  It involves sugar ice cream cones, lots of green frosting, and candies of your choice for the ornaments.  Your kids (and you, too!) will love decorating these!

Now that Christmas has past I am ready for 2013!  I am excited about all that the New Year can offer and all the cupcakes that are in store!  I love this 2013 cupcake wall calendar by GLORIACASTANEDA.  The calendar costs only $14.00 and each month’s image is a festive cupcake drawing.

If your house is anything like mine I’m sure your spending today baking and cooking!  We already have three types of cookies made and a fourth cookie dough chilling.  I have a feeling we wont have time to make cupcakes but if we were going to I would bake these skinny gingerbread cupcakes with sweet cinnamon glaze by The Scrumptious Pumpkin.  Gingerbread and cinnamon are two flavors and smells that remind me of Christmas and these cupcakes are supposed to be healthy!  What kind of cupcakes does your family bake for the holidays?
