ATC Review: Cutey Bracelets

Posted by on December 7th, 2011

Cutey is a UK based company that makes charm bracelets and costume jewelry.  All Cutely products are affordable and come in a variety of styles to suit different taste preferences.  The charm bracelets come with the unique charms already attached.  Cutey ships worldwide and delivery within the UK is free.

ATC was sent the Pontus charm bracelet to review.  The silver bracelet included seven charms, three colored and four image charms and comes in two length options, 18m or 20m.  The colors were rose, black and a marbled pink and green. I really liked the little turtle charm and the heart with a boy and girl kissing inside.  There was also a heart shaped lock and a flower bead.  I have to admit I would have liked for the bracelet to include a cupcake charm.  As cute as turtles are I like cupcakes more and know cupcake fans would be interested in a cupcake charm similar to the Pandora cupcake charm we blogged about several years ago.  Especially since this style bracelet reminded me of the Pandora bracelets based off the style charms and the ability to add and remove the beads. Red Velvet Cake War

Posted by on November 16th, 2011

I was treated to a local production of Red Velvet Cake War this past weekend, and they did a very cool thing! A local bakery (renowned Hilman’s Bakery of Fairfield, Maine) donated a giant red velvet cake, along with many, many mini red velvet cupcakes. During intermission, actors in costume came out into the audience with trays of the mini cupcakes, handing them out. Then, as we were all contentedly munching away, they announced that one of the cupcakes had an X on the bottom. The person who got the X’d cupcake got to take home the giant cake! What a great idea! (And the play was great too!)

I found this cute photo at The Daily Green. These thrifty costumes are homemade from recycled tights, leggings, a laundry basket, and bits of fabric.

Trick or Treat!

Halloween costumes are tons of fun, but we all know that the candy is pretty important, too.  Of course, every kid needs a special treat bag where they can stash away their goodies.  This cupcake treat bag from Pottery Barn Kids would be excellent for holding all those tootsie rolls and gobbstoppers and snickers bars.  Be sure and check out Pottery Barn’s accompanying cupcake costume as well.  Happy trick or treating!

Marshall’s Baby Cupcake Costume

Posted by on October 1st, 2011

I found this baby cupcake costume at my local Marshalls.  It’s really cute and would look great on a little baby, not to mention it’s only $12.99.  While there is not guarantee that your Marshalls will have the costume, my store has several so hopefully yours will too!

While I was browsing Target.com, as I often do, I stumbled upon this remarkable cupcake find for Halloween! A few days ago another contributer here at ATC posted about a children’s cupcake costume at Kohl’s, which is super cute! For those of you that wished Kohl’s had offered this adorable children’s costume in adult sizes, like myself, and desire to dress as a giant cupcake this Halloween well thanks to Target here it is…

If anyone I know decides to throw a Halloween party this year I will be purchasing this to wear! I will add that Target states this is an online only item so I am betting it will go fast! Order yours now before it’s gone!
