I ran into my local Staples looking for a planner and found some great cupcake items in the back to school section.  They had a cupcake shaped tape dispenser for $7.00 and a jar of paperclips topped with a cupcake for $3.00.  In the Post-It section there was a notepad with four different cupcake designs in one pad for $2.99.  I was unable to find the items on the Staple’s website so you will have to visit a store to find these cupcake desk essentials.

I have seen the customized house keys before but yesterday was the first time I saw a cupcake one!  You can find the custom cupcake key at Walmart for $4.24.  There is also a matching cupcake key chain for $4.87, these would be a great gift for a new home or car owner!

I give away a lot of cupcakes. Not really because I’m a nice person (even though I am), but because I need to get them out of my house. Just because I enjoy baking and decorating two dozen cupcakes, doesn’t mean I need to eat two dozen cupcakes. And it’s always a struggle to transport them in such a way as to not damage my decorating efforts. We all know plastic wrap is a bad idea. And although I’m sure my friends don’t mind getting a cupcake in a cottage cheese container, there must be a better way, right? There is! Until I went looking, I had no idea how many cupcake box options there are through Wilton. They are a little pricey (3 small boxes for $3.29 or 2 big boxes for $5.29), but when you’re giving the gift of cupcakes, it is tempting to splurge.

I just found a new toy! Duff food color pens! I found these pens, which act much more like markers, at Michaels for about $9. They are fun and easy to use, and great for kids’ decorating. But first, I used them to personalize these fondant-topped cupcakes for my friend’s birthday!

My stand mixer gets quite a workout, and doesn’t have much time to collect dust, but I’m still tempted to pick up one of these cute cupcake stand mixer covers from Etsy seller PlayingWithDolls. The covers sell for $18 each and 10% of each sale goes to support Volunteers in Medical Missions, an organization that provides free medical care to people in developing countries.

Romp is a great website for children’s toys, accessories, and room decor.  They have a set of four plush cupcakes for $36.00 that are prefect for toy kitchens.  There is also an it’s a snap headband that comes with two snaps, a cupcake and a puppy for $20.00.
