Cupcake Wars
By HeatherLynn on June 13th, 2010 . Filed under: Cupcake Ideas .Well hello there all my fellow cupcake lovers! How many of you out there have heard of the new show on the Food Network’s new show Cupcake Wars? Well if you havent you should check it out. It premieres tonight at 10PM on the Food Network!
I have invested extra interest in this show because one of the local bakeries here on Cape Cod will be on the show soon! Cupcake Charlie’s was founded by a husband and wife team right here on the Cape in Mashpee Massachusetts. They also have a shop in Plymouth Massachusetts. Their Cupcake War will premiere on the 29th of June @ 10pm! Check out the article on Cape Cod Times about Cupcake Charlie’s and Cupcake Wars. Also make sure to check out their audition video on there as well. Also become a fan on the FaceBook Page
I hope everyone is glued to the TV with Cupcake in hand watching the preimere tonight. And I hope all of you will be rooting for Cupcake Charlies on the 29th as well.

Hi, I enjoy watching Cupcake wars… But I have only one problem with the show… it is Florian Bellavger..I cannot understand what he says.. I am sure that he is well qualified for his job, but he needs to talk better, so that we can understand him.

Yum! I just learned about the show today on The View. I’m a cupcake enthusiast, myself. I also love the East Coast, and recently realized my dream of visiting Cape Cod. Hyannis, more specifically. Luvly post.

I watch cupcake wars, I can’t say it is because I really like the show or there is nothing else to watch.
I do have a problem with a show that was recently on. It was about Fashion and the dark haired girl got really angry and started throwing cupcakes in the garbage and through the pan on the floor because some of the assistants that were kindly offered them so they can get their work done didn’t do the cupcakes right.
She won, I was shocked, she showed a total lack of kindness, appreciation, sportmanship. She should return the money and she should not be considered the winner. Because of the I will no longer watch the show, I have a feeling it is not going to last long anywat

I think the show is so amazing with the decorating to the creativity of flavors. Being a cake decorator for 20 years myself I am very impressed with their imagination. I am however so very disappointed in the professionalism or lack of. This is for T.V. but everyone knows that you must contain your hair. The loose and fluffy hair is disgusting and an insult to all of us out there. Who wants a hair in their cupcake or icing, you are competing in a food show on national television not a glamour contest.

Is it just me or does it bother anyone else that one gal on the show that aired last night used tobacco in her cupcakes? Ick.

Does it bother anyone that the final outcome of a baking contest depends on the skills of a carpenter? Bakers have seconds to scribble a display concept on paper. Once the bakers get to the final round, the taste, creativity and appearance of their cupcakes cease to matter.

I don’t think it comes down to the carpenter’s skills, but the concept from the bakers! It’s all about the complete package. The Carpenters just make it come to life. Besides they’re my favorite part of the show anyways!

Doesn’t anyone else have a problem with the fact that the person who wins doesn’t have to have the best tasting cupcakes? It’s a huge flaw in the show. The chick with the tobacco flavored cupcakes won because her display was cuter. So the moral of the story is….you can still be a winner even if your cupcakes taste yucky. I don’t get it.

I love this show, but like someone said, Florian just irks me with his heavy accent. I hardly understand him.
