I wanted to share the cupcake costume that I made for my daughter. She was a cupcake for Halloween in 2007. It was so much fun to see people’s reactions when they opened the door. Everyone thought that she was adorable and that it was a nice change from the typical costumes. :-) Hope you enjoy!

Is there anyway I can get directions to make this costume?

I didn’t realize anyone had wanted to know how to make it, so I apologize for not getting back sooner. I didn’t use any kind of directions, just kind of winged it :-) The bottom portion is a round laundry basket covered with fabric. I cut the bottom of the basket out and also cut two arm holes out. I attached two elastic cords to the top to go over her shoulders.( Like suspenders) The top of the cupcake is batting just hot glued on. For the sprinkles I used foam cut in circles. The cherry is just a red beanie hat with a green pipe cleaner attached. Hope that helps! I think the total cost for me was around $5.
