My new favorite cookies are cowboy cookies, but I have been a long time lover of oatmeal chocolate chip. As for cupcakes, I have a new favorite too! Red velvet; but only the Smitten Kitchen recipe. Otherwise just plain old chocolate!
I borrowed the cookie book from a coworker and it is amazing!

I’d love to win a Martha book! I am a purist–it’s chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting for me. Lately I have been making cupcakes with dark chocolate cake, just so I can put more frosting on top and the sweetness won’t be overwhelming.

My favorite cupcake is vanilla with fluffy white buttercream. It’s simple, but I love it! My favorite cookie is spicy, chewy, soft gingerbread with cream cheese frosting.

I guess I’m pretty boring, but I go for the traditional stuff…although any cupcake or cookie is a good one to me :)
For cupcakes, I love chocolate…chocolate cake and icing. Yum, Yum! Cookies…gotta love chocolate chip..an oldie, but a goodie. With Christmas coming, I’m also digging out my gingerbread cookie recipes. And for those who want to have in all when it comes to desserts…like me…I will lay a choco chip cookie in the bottom of a cupcake liner, drop some chocolate batter on top and bake my famous chocolate chip cupcakes (always a crowd pleaser). I’ll top it off with some butter cream icing with bits of crumbled up cookie.
