Kelly Ripa and Electrolux team up to help fight ovarian cancer

How sweet it is.  Kelly Ripa, talk show host, and veteran of the school bake sale scene, used her new Electrolux range to bake a signature batch of cupcakes to kick off a digital campaign to help fight ovarian cancer.  For every virtual cupcake sent at electroluxappliances.com this February, Electrolux will donate a $1 to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Along with sending a virtual cupcake this Valentine’s Day, Electrolux is selling “Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve” T-shirts, designed by Ripa, on its Web site (www.electroluxappliances.com)  For each T-shirt sold, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the OCRF to support research to find a cure.

And to top it off, Electrolux is auctioning off a one-of-a-kind red kitchen suite on eBay.  The bidding on the “Red Hot Red” kitchen – which includes a built-in range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave – starts Wednesday, February 11th at 3 p.m. EST and lasts until 3 p.m.  EST on Wednesday, February 18th.  All proceeds of the charity auction benefit the OCRF as part of Electrolux’s commitment to help this worthy cause.

I get that there is only one entry per day for the drawing, but can anyone figure out if they donate $1 for every cupcake sent (even if sent multiple times per day)? I’ve been sending cupcakes all day – too much fun!
