To Write Love on Her Arms

On November 13th myself and many other people I know wrote the word LOVE on their arm, why? To show that people love each other, and are there for you. You do not have to turn to drugs or cutting or suicide as an answer. It was such a simple act to show your support … all you had to do is take a marker and write the word LOVE on your arm.
To Write Love on Her Arms, also known as TWLOHA, is an American non-profit organization which aims to present hope and find help for people struggling with problems such as depression, drug addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Based in Central Florida, TWLOHA seeks to connect people to treatment centers, websites, books, support groups, and other resources. TWLOHA also encourages people to have honest conversations about these issues, to live in community, and to seek help for these treatable conditions.

LOVE TWLOHA. I was SHOCKED to see a huge display for TWLOHA front and center in Hot Topic!! I was so excited!! I can’t say enough about this amazing organization!!

As a counselor to hospitalized teens- almost all of whom cut or have tried to commit suicide- I love TWLOHA. Thank you for spreading awareness!
