Seeems rather silly, with how different muffin batter and cake batter are made. Those who think they’re the same must have some rather tough, over mixed muffins, ew!
I’ve been living a lie! For a while now, I just skip the icing when baking cupcakes for my children’s classes & add chocolate chips to the batter (yumm btw!). This is shocking. Well, despite the outcome, I’m still gonna call them cupcakes.

I said yes too. I am SHOCKED so many said no! Who ever heard of a chiffon muffin???

I say yes as well! A cupcake has a distinct taste that differs from say, its cousin the corn muffin. :D
